About Us

Bryan Hoggarth was founded in 1976 originally as a mobile agricultural engineer, repairing and servicing all makes of tractors and farm machinery.

In 1981, Bryan opened up new premises in Kendal as such was his success, was awarded the Leyland tractor franchise.

In 1986 as Leyland/Marshall came to an end, Bryan took on the Deutz Fahr tractor franchise to become a main dealer in the area.

As time went by, Bryan’s success meant that in 1994 he was awarded the New Holland franchise and had now increased his staff to eight employees.

In 1999, Bryan Hoggarth became (as it is known today) as Bryan Hoggarth Ltd and purchased an existing tractor hire company to provide a hire service which has since became Hog Hire.

In 2003 as the business grew, Bryan opened up a new branch in Carnforth, Lancashire as they gained more territory in the area from New Holland.

Moving forward to 2009 and the Weidemann franchise was added to provide customers with a range of wheeled loaders and compact telehandlers. Bryan Hoggarth Ltd, now employed 23 members of staff.

In 2013, we replaced the New Holland franchise with McCormick tractors, and in 2016 we was awarded the Wacker Neuson construction equipment franchise.

Bryan took the decision in 2018 to retire to the Scottish Borders where he purchased a farm to fulfill a lifelong ambition to be a farmer. Something he has always wanted to do since childhood.

The business was handed over to his son Jonathan and it was decided that the company would concentrate on selling quality used tractors, farm machinery and construction equipment only and so all of the suppliers of new machinery were served notice that they would no longer being selling their new machinery.

This meant that the company would have 3 sides to the business. Bryan Hoggarth Ltd, selling quality used tractors and farm machinery, Hog Hire offering nationwide tractor and machinery hire and Tractor Parts Supermarket, selling tractor and farm machinery parts on the web.

All makes of tractors are sold or can be sourced including New Holland, John Deere, McCormick, Case and Massey Ferguson models.
